Description

Barry Cenotaph is located to the east of the main entrance to Memorial Hall. It was unveiled in November 1932, probably by E R Hinchsliff, borough surveyor. Built of reconstituted stone, the war memorial has inscriptions: "In proud memory of the men of Barry who fell in the Great War, 1914-1918, 1939-1945", "For freedom". Panels on base have inscriptions in Welsh and English.
