Parlour at Goetre Isaf

Description

The parlour at Goetre Isaf has features such as the large inglenook beam said to have been a re-used ship timber and two red chairs are from the investiture of Prince Charles in 1969. Guests were able to buy their chairs at the cost of £12. These have the original Welsh wool covers andacks embossed with the Prince of Wales feathers motif in gold leaf. 2,600 of these chairs were manufactured by workers at the Remploy factory in Bridgend to a design by Lord Snowdon.
