Copy of the Granston church burial registry recording the burial of two unknown bodies recovered from the wreck of the Charles Holmes at Aberbach on October 25, 1859.

Name: 2 bodies names unknown
Abode:Wrecked at Aberbach.
When buried: November 10th 1859.
By whom the ceremony was performed: R. Daniel, Vicar.

In total, just twelve bodies of the twenty eight crew were recovered, two being buried at Llanwnda, with the majority buried in the churchyard at Granston, close to where the ship was wrecked. A gravestone in Granston churchyard is dedicated to Captain Bowlby, captain of the Charles Holmes and to his crew.
