Skokholm - Drinking Water Run - 1984
A tank on the dumper truck was filled using the hand pump at the well (spring), then driven back up Home Meadow and close to the wall by the wheelhouse. The water was transferred to the ‘drinking water’ tank on the inner courtyard side of the wall using clean buckets. One person stood on the wall (Graham) and emptied the full buckets handed up by the workers on the dumper. Graham Gynn, Michael Wiles, Helen Kirk (assistant cook in 1984)
