I introduced the pupils of the Extra Art class at Penweddig School to mixed media collage techniques and invited them to respond to the archives.

We teared and cut copies of old black and white photographs provided by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales and glued them onto mount boards. Then, we added acrylic paint, pastel and colour pencils to harmonize the collage.

The pupils were very enthusiastic about having been offered the possibility to take part in this submission and are looking forward to seeing if their artworks get published.
