A book that was published in 1957. 'To Guard My People' is an account of early very policing in Swansea. Contains many facts, figures and photographs. Author: Walter William Hunt, Superintendent of Swansea Borough Police.

Contains a list of the Parish Constables who were responsible for keeping law and order in the 18th century. It follows on through into the 19th century and the formation of the Swansea Borough Police.
