Steamed Potatoes

Description

Ingredients

  • potatoes, coarsely cut
  • onions
  • bacon rashers
  • a little flour
  • water

Method

  • Fill a saucepan with alternate layers of potatoes and sliced onions, finishing with a layer of potatoes.
  • Sprinkle with a little flour and cover with bacon rashers.
  • Add water to the level of the last layer of potatoes, cover the bacon with grease-proof paper and press firmly with a plate.
  • Place a lid on the saucepan and simmer the contents until cooked.

A favourite dish served for dinner or supper in Porth Dinllaen.
