Bacon Pie

Description

Ingredients

  • bacon, cut into small pieces
  • one onion, chopped
  • a little butter
  • salt and pepper
  • short-crust pastry

Method

  • Line a large oven-proof plate with a thin layer of pastry.
  • Spread the bacon pieces and chopped onion thickly over the pastry, season with salt and pepper and dot with butter.
  • Cover with a second layer of pastry, and seal.
  • Bake in a moderately hot oven.
