Bargod Rangers football team pictured at Llysnewydd Meadow in their blue and white stripes in the early 1920s.

Description

At that time the village of Drefach Felindre became known as the Huddersfield of Wales for its thriving woollen industry. It has been suggested that the Bargod football kit in that period replicated the kit of Huddersfield Town namely the blue and white stripes. Only a few of these players and supporters are recognised at this stage. These include back row, extreme left, David Lewis Do'l-werdd, and extreme right, Tom Owen Phillips. Bottom row left to right: Johnny Jones Dolwion Mill, Eiffel Lewis Meiros Mill and Johnny Jones Bargod Mills
