Description

HMS Carysfort, the fourth ship of her name in the Royal Navy, was laid down by Pembroke Dockyard in Pembroke Dock, Wales, on 25 February 1914. She was launched on 14 November 1914, and completed in June 1915. Commissioned into service in that same month, HMS Carysfort was assigned to the 4th Light Cruiser Squadron (4th LCS) of the Grand Fleet in August 1915.
