Description

This image features two leaflets with information on Welsh Women's Aid. The leaflets cover topics such as 'Who are we?' and 'What do we do?'. They provide information on what Women's Aid is, what services they could provide, including available help, and information regarding refuge centres run by volunteers, alongside paid staff.

The annual report for 1981-1982 includes funding information. It also states, 'In the past 12 months Welsh Women’s Aid has given refuge to 808 women and 1328 children'.

Welsh Women’s Aid (WWA) was founded in 1978 to help and support women and children who were victims of domestic abuse. WWA also campaigns and lobbies for improvements in public policy and government legislation relating to women and children experiencing domestic abuse in Wales.
