1930s Penarth
Description
During the mid-1930s summers saw holiday-makers flock to Penarth in their thousands. Visitors enjoyed the Pleasure Steamers and promenading on the Pier. Loudspeakers provided background music on the Esplanade, while visitors walked along the cliff tops, bathed in the sea, visited the cafes, golf courses and the swimming baths, and each evening The Marina offered dancing.
