Cover page of the Order of Service at the ceremony of unveiling the Welsh National War Memorial in Alexandra Gardens, Cardiff, 12 June 1928. The booklet includes a history of how the Western Mail proposed gathering funds for such a memorial and how its architectural design and the meaning of memorial text were established.

This order of service is part of the Collection of Sydney Tapper-Jones, Town Clerk of Cardiff City Council from 1942 to 1970. He assembled this personal collection of printed material and photographs relating mostly to Cardiff civic events.
