Bird Life Protected in Cardiff', Newspaper clipping, Cardiff, 19 November 1927

Description

A scrapbook page containing a newspaper clipping from Evening Express on 11 November 1927, replying to an inquiry by the Cardiff Naturalists' Society regarding the lack of bird sanctuaries in the city.

The Cardiff Naturalists' Society was established in 1867 and helps to promote public engagement with the sciences. The group put on public lectures, events, and day trips, usually in order to raise funds. They are known for having helped to raise a significant amount of funding for the building of the Welsh National Museum. The group is still active today and is largely run by volunteer work.
