Sam became the support network for the community and the people involved. RCMA, which stands for Riverside Community Markets Associated, was created in 1998 when the first market was launched as Riverside Real Food Market in Despenser Gardens. The markets have expanded and now run three weekly farmers markets in the heart of Cardiff. The RMCA have their own community allotment, which is a place for all to learn how to grow food in a supportive and sociable setting; the Project manager provides support for volunteers at the site for two days per week.
