Title supplied by cataloguer. Verso, a marker work tracing of the venice waterfront and mooring posts, with continuous pencil shading overlaid in order to transfer the recto image to another surface. Thick spots of brown, grey / blue / green, fawn, and cream / light green oil paint applied in one section recto. Drawn on a sheet of heavy weight water colour paper, with 'cotton', 'A5', 'Fabriano' watermarks. Paper has been roughly cut along the lower edge. There are two pin holes (drawing pins ?) middle left edge, and one third along lower right, recto.
