Letter from the Rev. Michael D. Jones to R. J. Berwyn, 16 September 1875 [image 1 of 10]

Description

Michael D. Jones informs R. J. Berwyn that he has received the 'quillango', a blanket made of sewn animal skins, which was presented to him by the Settlement's Governing Council. He gives an account of his financial difficulties and complains about the Council's tardiness in repaying him the money that he spent on sending the first group of settlers to Patagonia in 1865. He fears that Hugh Hughes (Cadfan Gwynedd), President of the Settlement, is to blame.
