Title: ‘WELSH COSTUMES / J.H. Lynch, lith / Day & Son, Lithrs to The Queen / Published by G Humphreys, Bangor’
Description: Six women in Welsh costumes with mountains behind. All are wearing Welsh hats and small shoes. They are depicted going to or from market.
(1) short dark-coloured bedgown, striped skirt, horizontally striped apron
(2) blue cloak and striped skirt
(3) light-coloured bedgown, shawl, striped skirt, horizontally striped apron
(4) dress, paisley shawl and carrying a handbag
(5) cloak, vertically striped apron, striped skirt
(6) shawl tucked into the horizontally striped apron, striped gown and skirt
Note: Several of these characters are very similar to some in J.C. Rowland's prints.
