Welsh Costume groups

At least 9 large prints of groups of Women in Welsh costume were published during the 1850s and although the artists and publishers were different in most cases, their similarities suggest influence, if not plagiarism of the earliest: Rowland's 'Welsh Costumes, Errand Girl ...' published in 1848.
Most of them were published in north Wales (Caernarfon, Bangor and Chester).
Most of them were published during the 20th century as greetings cards and postcards.
(1) 'WELSH COSTUMES / FIRST SERIES / Errand girl, Farmer's daughter, Market woman, Winter costume, Llanarth girl. Day & Son Lithrs. to The Queen / J.C. Rowland Del. / Drawn on stone by J McGahey Liverpool / Published by T. Catherall, Eastgate Row, Chester. Sepr 21st 1848'
This is the first of five editions of this group.
(2) WELSH PEASANTRY. / DRAWN FROM LIVING CHARACTERS. / LLANBERIS SLATE QUARRY / DOLBADARN TOWER / Published by W.Pritchard, High Street, Carnarvon.

There are two similar original sketches, probably based on earlier prints.
