This group cannot be members of the 'Merionethshire Constabulary'. Merionethshire as a separate and autonomous county force existed from 1857 until 1950. The helmet plates (badges) on the helmets in the photo are that of the Gwynedd Constabulary three counties constabulary amalgamation ... Merionethshire County, Anglesey County. and Caernarfonshire. (1950 to 1967).
