Description

Born in 1921 this is a detailed account from Betty Hopkin (daughter of photographer Llew Morgan) of Josef Herman living and working in Ystradgynlais in the 1940s and 1950s. Includes first hand memories of when he arrived to the town and the way the artist lived his life. Betty and her family knew J. Herman well as he visited the family home most days at this time. Also present is Betty's daughter Carol Hopkin.
