Description
Copy of letter of recommendation and good character for Captain William Davies, Nefyn issued by R. Thomas & Co., Liverpool, in 1919 following the sinking of the BELFORD. This certificate along with other official documents was stored in a standard tin metal box.
This document was brought to the attention of the U-Boat Project 1914-18 by William Davies's grandsons, John Davies, Denbigh, and David Davies, Mold, who inherited their grandfathers' documents and naval artefacts and kindly allowed us to share it.
