Description

This group photograph was taken on board the BELFORD while she was anchored in San Francisco, 1916. According to the handwritten note on the back, the photograph shows from left to right: Captain William Davies, Tudur Hughes, Mrs Hughes, Gwen Hughes (holding the lifesaver), Glyn Hughes (with the BELFORD's telescope), Mr Hughes, Mrs Phillips.

This document was brought to the attention of the U-Boat Project 1914-18 by William Davies's grandsons, John and David Davies, Denbigh, who inherited their grandfathers' documents and naval artefacts and kindly allowed us to share it.
