Photograph by T. M. Franklen, Clerk of the Peace for Glamorgan from 1878 to 1928, and in 1889 the first Clerk of Glamorgan County Council.

View of Westgate Street, showing Jackson Hall and Circus Building. This permanent circus tent was erected to provide entertainment to the residents of 'Temperance Town' - an area where public houses had not been erected.
