Description

Image of a living dragonfly. There were other plants and animals living at the time of the dinosaurs. By looking at their fossils we can build up a picture of what the world was like when the dinosaurs were alive. Dragonflies are a group of insects that have existed since before the dinosaurs. Insect skeletons are fragile and it is very rare for them to be preserved as fossils.
