Description

KapLt Heinrich Jeß (1884-1962) was the commander of U 79, U 96 and U 90 during the First World War.

During his command of U 96, he sank a number of ships in Welsh waters, among them the APAPA on 28 November 1917 and the DERBENT on 30 November 1917.

Following the war, he left naval service.
