CND Cymru 'Heddwch Action News' Supplements 1992-2006

'Heddwch Action News' was an occasional supplement to the regular CND Cymru quarterly supporter magazine ‘Heddwch’, produced by the Welsh Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament to enable local activism groups Wales-wide to engage effectively in major international campaigns on peace and justice. They include briefing and information sheets on topics ranging from the Iraq War, to Peace Taxes.

'Heddwch' is the supporter magazine for CND Cymru, the Welsh Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, published roughly quarterly from 1991 to the present day. It started as ‘Campaign Wales’ from 1985, following CND Cymru’s establishment as an independent campaigning network from 1981.

CND Cymru, Wales’ Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, works for international peace, justice and disarmament, and a world in which the vast resources devoted to militarism are redirected to the real needs of the community and the environment. Each issue of 'Heddwch' and 'Campaign Wales' contains updates on progress of CND campaigns and activities Wales-wide, with many specific references to Welsh communities, activists and movements - an invaluable source material for exploring Wales' peace heritage of last 4 decades.

The CND Cymru Archive on People’s Collection Wales, digitised by WCIA’s ‘Wales for Peace’ team, brings together CND Cymru’s supporter publications and records from 1981 to today, including:

• ‘Campaign Wales’ Magazine 1-20 (1985-1991)
