This collection relates to Mr Roy 'Denzil' Davies of Golden Valley on the Welsh borders. Denzil, who is often seen in Hay on Wye, Powys, was called up to undertake National Service in 1956. He joined the Light Division and on completing basic training he was assigned to the Oxford and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. He served overseas in Germany and Cyprus.
