Description
A branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was first established in Ffestiniog in 1846, with four families forming the core of the congregation. This articles tells of their conversion to the 'new' faith and subsequent challenges as they emigrated to the American West. The article first appeared in 'Gwreiddiau Gwynedd Roots' (the journal of the Gwynedd Family History Society) in December 2021 and is re-printed here with permission of the Editor.
