Description
This is a short video clip of RN WW2 Veteran John "Bob" Roberts talking about his station on board HMS Diadem, the ship he served on during World War Two. Bob also talks about the model he is sitting by and how by an amazing co incidence he came across the model, constructed by a Veteran who served on the same ship when Bob was on board. Bob also talks about the loss of his best mate Taff Gabriel, which occurred during an action against a German Destroyer flotilla. Bob gives a heartfelt plea at the end. More films recorded of interviews with Bob can be found in his collection "John Roberts RN" at the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples Collection Wales website.
