Description
The Thiepval Memorial commemorates the names of over 72,000 British and Commonwealth soldiers who died in the battles of the Somme but who have no known grave. Here is a picture of the name of Albert Gill of the Caerphilly, who died while serving with the Welsh Guards on 16 September 1916.
