This photograph presumably shows the family and workers at Pen-y-Bryn farm, Dyffryn, in 1913. Among them is Hugh Pugh Jones.
Based on his service number, he joined the Second Reserve Batallion of the Welsh Guards at some point in August 1916.
This document was brought to the attention of the U-Boat Project 1914-18 by Hugh Pugh Jones's granddaughter, Hilda Harris, Dyffryn Ardudwy, who kindly allowed us to scan it.
