Description
Thomas Williams, born in Penmachno in 1886, was working as a tailor in Colwyn Bay when the First World War broke out. Tom enlisted in the Liverpool Scottish Regiment on 21 November 1915 and is seen here in the regimental uniform, including kilt. He sailed for France on 9 April 1916, and was later wounded and captured by the Germans. He returned to Wales, and died in 1945.
