Two shields from Nantymoel BGC

Shield 1 (Left): WABC (Welsh association of Boys Clubs) Mid Glamorgan Group. K.O Competition Winners 1953-54 Nantymoel Boys Club
It would be great if anyone could tell me what K.O means.
Shield 2 (Right): WABC Mid Glamorgan Group, Soccer Champions 1953-54 Nantymoel Boys Club.
Interesting use of the word 'Soccer' instead of 'Football'. It would be interesting to find out why.
