Description

Photograph of part of the Hidden Now Heard exhibition at Carmarthenshire Museum demonstrating the lack of privacy for residents in some hospitals. Many of the toilets in the hospitals had no doors. This was to allow quick entry in case of an emergency, or to avoid damage by patients. This meant many people had absolutely no privacy whilst using the toilets. In this part of the exhibition, if you pulled the flush on the toilet, oral histories would be played out.
