Description
A typed note regarding a visit to Grange Mills by the Cardiff Naturalists' Society and members of the public in 1921. The mills were on the site of the old Grangetown Tannery. The note gives some background information about the mills and the tannery, as well as some of the processes of the mill.
The Cardiff Naturalists' Society was established in 1867 and helps to promote public engagement with the sciences. The group put on public lectures, events, and day trips, usually in order to raise funds. They are known for having helped to raise a significant amount of funding for the building of the Welsh National Museum. The group is still active today and is largely run by volunteer work.
