Description

A brochure created by Friends of the Earth and sponsored by the Cardiff Naturalists' Society, containing a discussion about the plans to construct a barrage/motorway across the Cardiff Bay. Inside are arguments mainly opposed to the construction of the barrage due to the environmental concerns.

The Cardiff Naturalists' Society was established in 1867 and helps to promote public engagement with the sciences. The group put on public lectures, events, and day trips, usually in order to raise funds. They are known for having helped to raise a significant amount of funding for the building of the Welsh National Museum. The group is still active today and is largely run by volunteer work.

Friends of the Earth group in Cardiff is a volunteer group that focuses on activism, education, and community engagement, especially in regard to the environmental concerns, such as climate change, pollution, and wildlife conservation.
