Minutes of a Cardiff Municipal Musical Society Executive Committee meeting, including a proposal by the Choral Section for their annual performance of 'The Messiah', a performance at Llandaff Cathedral and a Christmas concert, Cardiff, 17 September 1964 .

The Cardiff Municipal Musical Society provided musical theatre programmes for children, older people and those with disabilities. The Society existed from 1943 to 1993. They were charged with preparing and putting on performances for the public and providing opportunities for those who love drama. The Executive Committee were the minds behind this society and this item shows the minutes of an Executive Committee meeting. In this entry, under D905/6/2 page 35, the Choral Section has proposed to perform their annual performance of the Messiah on Good Friday 1965, a performance at Llandaff Cathedral in November 1964 and a Christmas concert in St John's Church: "Their programme included, in addition to their annual performance of the Messiah on Good Friday 1965, a performance in Llandaff Cathedral on the 12th November 1964 and also a concert of Xmas music in St John's Church, Cardiff".
