Cardiff Municipal Musical Society provided musical theatre programmes for children, older people and those with disabilities. The Society existed from 1943 to 1993. They were charged with preparing and putting on performances for the public and providing opportunities for those who love drama.

The Society had showcased a variety of performances in their time and so had printed many theatre programme booklets for their productions.

This item is a programme for 'Oklahoma', which was performed in the New Theatre in Cardiff between 2-7 March 1964.

The programme includes:
- A list of the Cardiff Municipal Musical Society’s leaders, including Alderman C A Horwood (the Mayor of Cardiff), Colin Underwood and H Ferguson Jones;
- A list of the production directors including Marguerite Thomas, Fred Bayliss, Fred Johnson and Gladys Johnson;
- A list of the cast members, including Norman Evans as Curly, Vera Henderson as Aunt Eller, Meirion Ashton as Laurey, David Jerwood as Will Parker and Sandra Power as Ado Annie;
- A story of the play;
- A list of the Society's patrons and friends between 1963 and 1964.
