Rev. William Evans (Wil Ifan) in Cardiff
Description
This picture was taken when Rev. William Evans (1883-1968) was the minister at the Richmond Road Congregational Church in Cardiff (between 1917 and 1925). He is pictured outside the manse, at 58 Miskin Street. The house and the church were destroyed by incendiary bombs on the same night in March 1941. Better known under his bardic name of Wil Ifan, he was the Archdruid of Wales from 1947 to 1950.
