The 16t Stordy charging machine is loading ten stacks of aluminium treadplate into one of six Stordy electric annealing furnaces. In this case the sheet in AA6082 or AA6061 alloys is likely to have been solution treated in the salt bath and stretched after which an 8 hour ageing cycle at 175C will achieve the maximum strength - equivalent to mild steel.
