Organ shared with organist from Llandaff Cathedral after Cathedral organ destroyed by enemy action. ‘Mr Gabb Cathedral organist requested use of organ for practice and teaching owing to the destruction of organ at Cathedral. His speical choir will perform Brahms Requiem- half of proceeds to Llandaff Cathedral Restoration Fund and half to St Catherine’s. PCC suggests BBC should record.’ (The ‘Special Choir’ founded in 1937 is the Llandaff Cathedral Choral Society which recently performed ‘Brahms Requiem’ at the Cathedral 25th March 2023 for their Easter Concert.)
