Thomas Matthews and his little brother Daniel

Description

Thomas Henry Matthews of Treboeth, Swansea, was a miner before the war, but within a month of the start of hostilities he had joined the 3rd (King's Own) Hussars. However, he soon transferred to the South Wales Borderers. This photograph shows him with his little brother Daniel Matthews. Thomas is one of the 79 men commemorated on the Roll of Honour at Caersalem Newydd Baptist Chapel, Treboeth.
