Description

William Hughes of Bow Street, serving with the Royal Engineers, was wounded by a German bullet in late 1917. While he was recuperating this photograph was taken of him in a horse-drawn coach being driven by two women. The caption says “Women War Workers #3 - The Lady Coachmen”
