Smallpox spreading; over 3@ in Municipal Hospital; many dead. Only one Welshman who has confiacted smallpox, John C. Rowlands, Architect of Homestead, son of William Rowlands, the carpenter. He is the designer of the new Methodist chapel. John Powell of Soho remains well. Miss Liz.zie Hughes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hughes of Soho, has been ill and has gone to Ebensburg Pa where it is hoped that the healthful breezes will revive her. On Monday July 14, the Soho Sunday school (Welsh Presbyterian) will have a picnic at romantic Rock Point. Strawberry Festival last week. Next Sunday the Rev. D. E. Pritchard of Carmarthenshire will be serving the Welsh Presbyterian Church on Second Ave. His son is Mr. D. Pritchard, secretary ofthe Scranton Eisteddfod. News of Scranton Eisteddfod.
