NO ENEMY TO ENGLAND.
A seaman named William Schmidt, who admitted being a German, but said he was "no enemy to England," was ordered to be handed over to the military authorities.
Two other Germans, named Otto Nash and Frederick Boose, who had been residing in the town since the outbreak of the war, but who had failed to comply with an order to leave the district, were also ordered to be handed over to the authorities.
A seaman named Frederick Muller, who said he was a Russian, was remanded till Monday for enquiries to be made.
