An extract from Morris, L., 1748. Plans of Harbours, Bars, Bays and Roads in St. George's Channel. The extract (page 48) describes the how to herring fishery could benefit from a pier at Cribach.

The extract reads as follows: “A SMALL Pier might be made at Cribach with a very inconsiderable Expense, which would be of great use to the Herring-fishery .”
