Description

An extract from Morris, L., 1748. Plans of Harbours, Bars, Bays and Roads in St. George's Channel. The extract (page 49) discusses the products of Fishcard, now known as Fishguard, including Herring.

The extract reads as follows: “THIS Country abounds with Corn; and between this Place and Newport, they cure Yearly about a Thousand Barrels of Herrings.”
